Humans Almost Went the Way of the Dinosaurs

Here is a link to the story on how humans almost went extinct. I was right -- it was 70,000 years ago. They explain how it all works herein. We were down to approximately 2,000 of us, unfortunately. They toughed it out, though, and now we are up to 6 billion!

Fox News, CNN, and basically every major news source also have stories dealing with this; so I'm not making it up. This is a British newspaper, which normally gives more details than the television news here. Enjoy!

Interesting! There is a theory that the mitochondria was a microorganism that invaded humans long ago, as well as other animals. And eventually, these microorganisms integrated into other organisms permanently. And it's a good thing too! Otherwise we would all be very lethargic.
