Assignment for Next Wednesday

Hint, this is somewhere in Europe.

For Wednesday, please do the following:

Read the article posted on the right from the New Yorker Magazine on carbon counting.

Write 1-2 pages, double-spaced, explaining:
  • What you think about global warming and its ramifications on society and nature;
  • What methods (political, social, or economic) might be useful for slowing down human-caused global warming.
  • Which reading (de Blij or the article) or film ("An Inconvenient Truth") was most interesting to you? Why?
This article is a bit different from the other readings you have done. However, it is a very realistic development -- that prices will change and be going up on goods depending on their "carbon costs." It is one answer to stave off global warming. Do you think it will work? We will discuss on Monday or Wednesday.

Have a great weekend and read outside if you can! It's beautiful out!

Best,

Ian

New Picture above... good luck!

Wow, your good David. I thought it was a cathedral. I wouldn't have ever guessed it.
